This statement is designed to satisfy the requirements of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“Act”), by setting out the approach of the Neurodiversity & Entrepreneurship Association to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and labour rights violations in its supply chains. 

We take our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and trafficking within our supply chain seriously.
 

Our status, operations and supply chain
•  The Neurodiversity & Entrepreneurship Association is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) under registration numbers 14810514.

•  Based in the UK, we have an international reach.

•  The Neurodiversity & Entrepreneurship Association does not have subsidiary entities.

Current Procurement policy and processes
•  We ensure that all suppliers with whom we work, now and in the future, are treated in a professional and ethical manner. We will uphold the principles of sustainable procurement at all times.  Our procedures also comply with UK law and address environmental management, health and safety and equality legislation. 

•  Suppliers will be evaluated on criteria including their approach to risk; environmental sustainability; health and safety; modern slavery and safeguarding.

Identifying and Managing Risk

•  As part of our partnership activity, we review controls that have been put in place by our suppliers.

Managing Risk and Adherence to the Act 
•  Our partnership agreements include modern slavery and human trafficking undertakings.  We expect our supply chain to respect and comply with all applicable laws, including the Act, and under our standard contracts and grants, wel reserve the right to terminate our arrangements with a supplier which is found to be in breach of the Act.

Social responsibility and human rights
•  The Neurodiversity & Entrepreneurship Association is committed to respect for human rights and to acting in a socially responsible manner in all our operations.

Training
•  We recognise the importance of ensuring all our staff understand how modern slavery manifests itself and how to report when it does. 

Key performance indicators (KPIs)
•  Our annual company review will monitor partnerships with other organisations, and ensure that adherence to relevant guidelines and legislation continues to be in place.

Next steps
•  As the Neurodiversity & Entrepreneurship Association grows, we will review this policy and ensure its continued fit for our activities as a business.
